The diving
If you prefer to do the academic part of the PADI Open Water Diver course in your own country with your local dive center, nothing is stopping you to do so.

The PADI referral course allow you to start with the theory and pool sessions at home, and continue with your 4 open water dives at another PADI dive center, anywhere in the world. Only rule is, you have to complete it all within 12 months.

If you are looking for a warm and chilled place to do your 4 open water dives in Egypt, then Dahab is definitely not a bad option. Known as one of the PADI capitals in the world, this little atmospheric backpacker town knows how to let you finish your course while you take it down a notch.

This package includes a week stay - but the course only take two days.
So don´t forget to book additional diving... now that you have your certificate you don´t want to be sitting on the beach when you can be in the water.

Location
Historically, most visitors to Dahab have been backpackers traveling independently, staying in the hostels and Bedouin camps. This has made the little fishermen town develop into an international good feel place. With its bohemian feel of hippie and Bedouin, Dahab is a beautiful mix of peace seeking travelers, creating an extraordinary atmosphere of relaxation and friendliness.

Your accommodation:
Twin or double, with A/C. Nice communal area and just steps from the beach. The accommodation is part of the very first Desert Camp in Dahab, and has been popular with backpackers and yogahippies since the 70s. It is very low key and basic, with a cool garden and prober bedouin hangout area..
