Komodo, Indonesia

Liveaboard Komodo (Dive Cruise) (Min. 2 days / nights. Incl. Min. 6 dives)

The diving
Forget the Great Barrier Reef, the Red Sea, Thailand and the Philippines – Komodo BEATS it! The crystal clear waters of Komodo National Park are home to over 1.000 species of fish, and more than 350 reef building corals and is selected as one of the 7 Wonders of Nature. Be overwhelmed by the explosion of colors and shapes during relaxing drift dives or swimming through monumental boulders. Look up and around for manta rays and, if real lucky – dolphins. Drop down next to huge seamounts and pinnacles or explore the protected bays and inlets for really weird and rare macro marine life.

... We could write so much about the diving here, and why we think you should do it. It is one of those places that most serious divers has on their to-do list. Google it, check out the photos and rest assured that if you go to this part of Indonesia without doing a few dives here, you will be kicking your bum later on in life (or other knowing underwater ambassadors will!)
But... we are divers, not preachers! So we leave the decision completely up to you.

However, if diving is not enough, Komodo also offers a unique encounter with the infamous Komodo dragon – the world’s largest lizard. That's something too.

Location
When going diving in Komodo National Park, You have 2 choices. You can go on a day boat, diving the sites to and from the park... Or you can go on a liveaboard and STAY out at the National Park for all your dives AND for the nights as well. It is by far the best way to experience the diving and the islands! This way, you'll get to do the absolute best dive sites for all your dives, without having to consider the long sail back and forth from Labuan Bajo. Just Perfect!

Your boat
Is the coolest! The Ikan Biru is a pretty and modernised version of a traditional Indonesian Pinisi wooden sailing boat. Sleeping a maximum of just 7 guests with a spacious upper deck for you to relax, dine and sleep under the stars... in absolute comfort! The two below-deck guest bathrooms are fitted with hot fresh-water showers. The liveaboard is equipped with modern marine safety equipment and an extremely experienced sailing and dive crew in accordance with marine tourism guidelines. When your day’s diving is complete, there are stand up paddle boards (SUP) for you to explore the clear shallow waters around the deserted islands of Komodo National Park.

Your bed
On the boat: In the evening, the upper deck will be re-build into a comfortable sleeping area, with comfy private beds. You will be lulled to sleep by the ocean and the stars.
On land: Your last night will be on land, in a clean and comfortable dorm room. A/C and hot water is included.
