Perhentian Islands, Malaysia

Learn to Dive - Dorm - Open Feb 15th to Oct 15th (5 days / 4 nights. Incl. 6 dives)

The diving
Pulau Perhentian, also known as Perhentian Islands or simply, The Perhentians complies with our favorite mantra: Dive, eat, sleep, repeat… But for this place, add some great beaches, hammocks and good vibes!
Combine chilled Malaysian island life with the daily dynamic life of a professional and super friendly dive center. Wake up in your "divers-dorm" room and shuffle through the door to the dive center. Grab a cup of coffee and get ready to be introduced to a new and better world!

As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, you will be in the hands of talented people with a great passion for diving when you take that initial step – The Open Water Diver Course.
The Perhentian Islands are a perfect location pursuing dive courses. Anything from the initial Open Water Course and all the way to Instructor level courses are being taught at this location with great skill and enthusiasm.

With sites that include a spectacular pinnacle, half a dozen wrecks and awesome reef life, you will get an unforgettable first experience in the world of diving.

The Location
Explore the reefs with the dive center, trek through the jungle that covers the island, or snorkel from beach to beach. It is a green island, full of life, but no roads, no cars, and absolutely NO stress! As the sun sets, grab a seafood bbq dinner on the beach. And if you are not diving the next day, take a 10-minute walk over to Long Beach and dance barefooted in the sand till the morning arrives together with backpackers and locals alike.

You can always grab a boat taxi to a secluded beach, or do the short walk through the jungle to the famous long beach for a party, but the serenity and the all time presence of nature in Coral Bay will always drag you back in the morning! And if you are a little fresh, then jump in the ocean for an early morning snorkel on the corner reef to maximize your luck of seeing little black reef sharks buzzing around beneath you.

Your Accommodation
If you want to stay on a budget (because you know you will be spending your days diving, hanging out on the beach and trekking through the jungle trails), the dorm accommodation is perfect for you. Staying in the dorm, means you will be staying in the same building as the dive center. You are free to hang out at the lounge area of the dive center, which is accesible 24/7 and often lively and social.

Your room
The dorm is basic, comes with a fan to cool you and your fellow divers at night, a bathroom with a cold water shower, a mosquito net for your bed and wifi.

Please note:
The dorm is for divers only! If you are traveling with a non-diving friend, you must book a private bungalow to share.
