Taganga, Colombia

Advanced Course - Private acc. (5 days / 4 nights. Incl. 5 dives)

Ready to take your diving to the next level? Whether you're looking to build confidence in the water, improve your skills, or you've been dreaming about exploring shipwrecks, the Advanced Open Water Diver course is the perfect next step.
And the best part? There’s no exam. This course is all about gaining experience, trying new types of diving, and, most importantly, having fun.
Over five adventure dives, you'll explore a variety of specialties such as deep diving, wreck diving, underwater navigation, drift diving, and more. Before each dive, your instructor will give you a short theory briefing, so you'll learn exactly what you need before putting your new skills into practice.
The waters around Taganga Bay and Tayrona National Natural Park provide the ideal classroom. The area offers fantastic dive sites for every adventure dive while rewarding you with incredible marine life along the way. As a protected marine park, Tayrona boasts healthy coral reefs, abundant tropical fish, and regular encounters with sea turtles. If you're lucky, you may even spot dolphins during your surface intervals.
Beyond the diving, Taganga is the perfect base for exploring Colombia's Caribbean coast. It's the gateway to the famous Lost City Trek, stunning waterfalls, and countless other adventures. With its laid-back beach atmosphere, friendly locals, and vibrant diving community, don't be surprised if you end up staying longer than you originally planned.

Location

The main road along the beach, is filled with fishermen and local kids playing football during the day. The many activities around Taganga and Tayrona National Park will keep you busy for days and are also the reason why many travellers end up extending their stay in this area of Colombia.

This family-run accommodation is clean and cozy, with the friendliest reception staff, who are happy to help you plan your onward travels, or trekking in Tayrona. If you prefer to cook your own food, there is a little communal kitchen. The hostel offers tasty breakfast options meals at a low cost, and there's a laundry service and free WIFI.

Your room - Private accommodation
Twin or double bed in spacious room with private bathroom, fan cooling and semi-hot water for your shower (This you will realise is quite a standard for Colombia, but if you want a hot shower, you can take one at the dive center, where they will provide you towels after your diving for that exact purpose).
